We are also all-volunteer, feeling called to encourage parents to home school their chil-dren and to assist home school families in providing excellence in their education. We are busy homeschooling parents ourselves and do this out of a conviction to pass it on.

We are committed to helping families comply with the Code of Maryland Regulations or COMAR and equally called in helping families realize their personal level of home school excellence. Our COMAR Reference Page has links to the Title, Subtitle, Chap-ter, and Sections pertaining to the regulation of Home Instruction.

HRG is sponsored by Cornerstone Christian Academy (CCA). CCA is known as an um-brella school and is run by Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church (CEFC) of Pasadena, Maryland.  That means that they May get funding and volunteers directly from this group

Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church (CEFC) of Pasadena is a Bible affirming Church. We are committed to  making  the spiritual health of our families a priority through mu-tual encouragement  and accountability. Furthermore, we teach and share Christ's de-sign for the family members  in the ongoing life of the church.  We view church as com-munity  and  we make "community" a living reality in our body through active involve-ment in each other's lives, making needs known and skills available to one another.  

In keeping with this mission CCA has gladly expanded to include helping others outside our oversight program through the Resource Group. Joining The HomeSchool Re-source Group DOES NOT provide legal oversight for a home instruction program.
You do NOT have to be a member of either CCA or The Group to receive benefits from the Group's ministry activities. Our focus is on outreach. However, if you have been helped by HRG, please consider contributing back to help the next person. We can only continue if we have enough volunteers to spread out the work involved.
