HRG is sponsored by Cornerstone Christian Academy (CCA). CCA is known as an umbrella school and is run by Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church (CEFC) of Pasadena, Maryland.

We are also all-volunteer, feeling called to assist home school families in complying with the Code of Maryland Regulations COMAR and equally called in helping families realize their personal level of home school excellence. Our COMAR Reference Page has links to the Title, Subtitle, Chapter, and Sections pertaining to the regulation of Home Instruction.
In keeping with this mission CCA has gladly expanded to include helping others outside our oversight program through the Resource Group. Joining The HomeSchool Resource Group DOES NOT provide legal oversight for a home instruction program.
You do NOT have to be a member of either CCA or The Group to receive benefits from the Group's ministry activities. Our focus is on outreach. However, if you have been helped by HRG, please consider contributing back to help the next person. We can only continue if we have enough volunteers to spread out the work involved.
If interested in volunteering please contact us.

An outreach ministry of:
The HomeSchool Resource

Group

The HomeSchool Resource Group is a covenantal outreach ministry to the local homeschool and Christian Community. Created for the express purpose of promoting homeschooling in general, helping homeschool parents in particular, and emphasizing the importance of a consistent worldview in all education. The HomeSchool Resource Group consigns and sells used curriculum and books as well as provides monthly support meetings, mentoring and special activities to all who seek assistance. We are looking for anyone considering or just starting out with homeschooling that would like assistance in this new endeavor. Please contact us. See our Seminars Page for details on our classes.

We are 'covenantal' in that our volunteers are not seeking any gain for themselves. This is a labor of love to help others sacrificially. We are looking for experienced and not so experienced homeschoolers who desire to reach out a hand to help others. A volunteer might be motivated to give back the help they had when they first started, or to provide help they wished had been available way back when. Please consider volunteering a small amount of time to HRG. There are several one time jobs we need to have done and there are also recurring positions we need to have filled. See the Volunteer's and Needs Page for more information.

At this time the HomeSchool Resource Group has 2 monthly activities, the introduction to homeschooling outreach meeting and the Saturday book consignment.
If you are wishing to consign books, fill out this agreement. Once you've completed that form please print it off and bring it with you when you come to Mariners' to drop off your books. You may print and keep this form as your copy of the agreement.
As HRG is able to organize other activities, they will be held at Mariner's Church, as well. Check back here frequently for the latest updates on our event schedule.
